To continue supporting the "Matto 4 Mod" for Far Cry, the MattoMedia team took some time and and released the first Patch 1.1. Next to a few bug fixes they also added the single shot as secondary fire mode to the Steyr to enhance the gameplay even more. Additionally the .cry-files for the Sandbox Editor are included as well. This should give any level designer the opportunity to see how the team set up their amazing levels. You can download the 48MB sized update from one of the links further below.

News from PlatinumGold's "Delta Sector Mod" for Far Cry. On New Years Eve already he released a very nice new gameplay trailer of his work. Next to the great looking environmental setting you can see three new weapons which will make it into the final version. Besides a new combat knife the player will be able to use the HK USP Compact 45 (known from the Matto mod) and a new rifle called FN SCAR. The download is 29MB in size and you definitely shouldn't miss it.

Endlich neues von PlatinumGold's "Delta Sector MOD" für Far Cry. Am Neujahrsabend schon veröffentlichte er einen sehr gelungenen neuen Gameplay Trailer über seine Arbeit. Außer dem tollen Umwelt-Setting könnt ihr auch drei neue Waffen sehen, die es in der finalen Version auch geben wird. Neben einem neuen Combat Knife wird der Spieler auch die HK USP Compact 45 (bekannt aus Matto) und ein neues Gewehr mit dem Namen FN SCAR benutzen können. Der Download ist ca 29MB groß und sollte nicht verpasst werden.

Unbelieveable but true - the most expected singleplayer modification for Far Cry "Matto 4" has been finished! After 1 year, 7 months and 4 days of development the MattoMedia team finally can say they're done with the work. With its average gametime of at least 4 hours this project is more an addon to Far Cry than just a normal mod.

Guns, lots of guns
Of course the mod includes a whole new armory. Next to the standard weaponry of Far Cry you can use following in Matto 4:

- P99: without silencer, typical beginner weapon but very effective
- M3 Pumpgun: 'nuff said :) 
- Steyr Aug: Replacement for the M4, includes a scope 
- Dual MP7: Highest fire rate and penetrating power, long reload time 
- Another secret one: Find out on your own ;) 

Additional features
Matto 4 wouldn't be Matto 4 if it wouldn't include lots of new funny features. The guys did a great work and implemented lots of great new features which are:

- Gasbottles (known from the trailer) 
- Fire extinguisher (explosion deals damage, white powder coming out provides cover for a short amount of time) 
- Mattress with dead body physics (believe it or not...) 
- English voice output including subtitles 
- Many new team mates appearing during the game 
- Countless new objects and textures

For all those who are not tired of all the new stuff here some naked data:

- The overall length of the ingame dialogs is about 16 minutes 
- The cutscenes are about 11 minutes in total 
- The installer is about 360MB in size
