CRYENGINE®3 SDK HITS 100.000 DOWNLOADS IN ONLY FIVE DAYS

Crytek GmbH (“Crytek”) is excited to announce first download numbers for its recently released SDK. The free version of CryENGINE®3 hit 100.000 downloads within the first five days after its release on August 17th.

In line with GDC Europe and Gamescom last week, the independent developer had announced the release of a CryENGINE®3 free of charge for non-commercial use.  The award winning SDK provides the complete game engine to create AAA quality next generation games for PC, and includes the CryENGINE®3 Sandbox™ level editor, a production-proven, 3rd generation “What you see is what you play” (WYSIWYP) - tool designed by and for professional developers.

NEW WORLD INTERACTIVE ANNOUNCES A LICENSING DEAL WITH CRYTEK FOR CRYENGINE®3

New World Interactive (“Newworld”), a newly formed independent game developer based in Denver, today announced that it has licensed the state-of-the-art CryENGINE®3 from Crytek GmbH to develop Lethal Enterprise, a free to play FPS game about the drug war.

GOLFZON LICENSES CRYENGINE 3 FOR ONLINE GOLF GAME

Golfzon is very proud to announce the extension of the partnership with Crytek for the development of its first online golf game. In the recent past, Golfzon had already used Crytek’s CryENGINE 2 technology for the ‘Golfzon Real’ screen golf simulator. On February 14th both Golfzon and Crytek attended the official signing ceremony at Golfzon’s HQ in Seoul and declared the licensing deal for CryENGINE 3.

XAVIANT LLC LICENSES CRYENGINE®3

Crytek GmbH ("Crytek") and Xaviant LLC today announced their first licensee agreement.

The US developer will use CryENGINE"®3 for its next game, Lichdom. The single-player action story with RPG elements will be released for Xbox 360™, PlayStation"®3 and PC. "Our strategy at Xaviant is to build games that can only come from the minds of gamers, which means we have to focus on our core discipline: game design. When we partnered with Crytek, we had high expectations for their product. However we had not anticipated the extent to which they exceeded those expectations.
