Some minutes ago we received the following announcement from Crytek:
With the Crysis Beta in full swing, it is now a chance for your friends and team mates to battle it out, to try and gain the ultimate crown; the best Crysis Multiplayer Beta team! Along with our partners we are pleased to bring you the Crysis MP Beta Cup. People all over the world will be able to compete with and against each other, battling it out to not only see who looks best in the high-tech Nanosuit, but also see who can dominate the rest of the competitors.
To keep the event balanced and fair for every participating team we are not running just one tournament, but rather four tournaments! Each tournament will focus on a set of countries in one geographical area, allowing games to be played in a much more competitive style.
The following tournaments are taking place:
- European Tournament
- US Tournament
- German, Austria and Switzerland Tournament
- German Ladder
Click on the "Read more..." link to read the complete announcement (with informations about the servers, prices and more)!

Forums
The official Beta forums have been expanded allowing players to talk about the tournaments, as well as find extra players to fill their team, or even start talking about the tactics etc that will be used in competitive games.
Daily updates about the games will also be included in the forums.
Coverage
There will be plenty of coverage, from the big fan sites, to the little clan sites. Expect to see lots of match reports, interviews and live coverage of the games, including shout casting and video streaming of the games. The coverage will appear on enough sites to incorporate all languages.
Servers
As you can see we have a number of server providers already to give you a large amount of servers to play on. We realise that administrating these servers will be a new experience, so we are going to provide the necessary instructions on how to get the servers going properly, making your time more about enjoying the game, than worrying about the correct server settings.
Game Rules
We are leaving these to the discretion of the various Partners. However there are a number of rules we have set, which will be adhered to in all cases:
Team size: 6on6
Time limit: 25 minutes
Re-spawn time: 15 seconds
Prizes
What would a tournament be without prizes? EA and our other partners will ensure that your efforts on the battlefield will not remain unrewarded. Stay tuned to get more information about these prizes.
Good luck to all participating teams. You will find details on the individual partners’ websites about how to sign-up.
May the best teams win!
