The player arrives by vehicle to the VTOL landing pad.
PROPHET is waiting and escorts the player to the suit check.
The very basics of navigational controls are conveyed.
The player has no equipment. No HUD is displayed.

Scene opens as the jeep approaches the training camp.
Music plays. Prophet raps his fingers in time to the beat.

The two are silent for a few moments.

    PROPHET (uncomfortable)
You know I’m sorry about the short notice.

    NOMAD
It’s ok, boss. Nature of the job.

    PROPHET (uncomfortable)
Yeah… but this being her anniversary… I mean the anniversary…

    NOMAD (interrupting)
    It’ll keep me focused.

    PROPHET
Good. We’ll need to be. This is a tricky one - a political hot potato. We can’t afford any mistakes.

    NOMAD
    Nuclearised entity?

    PROPHET
    Exactly.

    [..]

    GATE GUARD
    Howdy Major Barnes… Lieutenant Dunn.

    PROPHET
    Good morning, soldier.

    GATE GUARD
    Hella busy today, sir.

    PROPHET
    Yep.

The first guard looks silently from Barnes to Nomad and back again. The second guard finishes his check along the left side.

    GATE GUARD
OK. Have a good day, sir.

The first guard steps back and makes a hand gesture to the second guard. The second guard steps back and hits a button. The gate starts to open.

The first guard speaks into his radio. The second guard moves across the gate as it opens to the right side. When the gate is open he waves the jeep through.

    PROPHET (dismissive)
Busy - pah. You should have seen this place when we were training for Enduring Freedom. Now that was busy. This place is a ghost town now.

    Prophet turns a corner.

    NOMAD
Nothing but the best for special forces.

    PROPHET
Don’t let appearances fool you. There’s some real high tech kit here.

Prophet turns to look at Nomad.

    PROPHET
We’re going to be activating the nanosuits.

    NOMAD
Activating the suits? I thought they were still in development.

Prophet turns his attention back to the road.

    PROPHET
I know, but the gray beards at JSOC think we might need the boost on this one.

Prophet holds out his right hand to prophet, pre-empting any questions.

    PROPHET
Now don’t go asking me why. You know the deal.

    [...]

The player enters the hangar. The suit chair is standing in a myriad of cables and hi-tech equipment.

    SCIENTIST 1
We’re ready when you are. Make yourself comfortable.

On screen text: “Walk up to the chair and press F to sit down.”

The player is locked down while his suit is tested and upgraded. A short HUD boot up sequence is displayed and important HUD elements are explained as they come online.

    SCIENTIST 2
As you can see we’ve hooked up all weapons and PDA subsystems to your nanosuit. Important information such as radar, compass, ammo count, bio- and suit energy readings is displayed directly on your visor.

The suit menu flashes on the screen and is briefly explained. The individual suit modes are presented only if/when selected. Energy consumption is explained.

    SCIENTIST 1
The nanosuit can reroute its energy to four different power subsystems; Armor, Speed, Strength and Cloak. Switching between suit modes can be done on the fly. Try it out.

On screen text: “Press and hold ‘Middle Mouse Button’ to open the suit menu. Drag with mouse to select suit mode.”

    SCIENTIST 1 (Strength mode)
Strength mode lets you jump higher, punch harder and lift heavy objects.

    SCIENTIST 2 (Armor mode)
Armor mode lets you sustain more damage.

    SCIENTIST 1 (Speed mode)
Speed mode, increases movement speed, obviously, but also gives a massive sprint burst.

    SCIENTIST 2 (Cloak mode)
Camouflage cloak changes the suit’s colors dynamically to mimic the surroundings.

When the player has selected all four nanosuit modes PROPHET contacts the player on the radio. A waypoint flashes on the radar and the OBJECTIVES tab is updated.

    SCIENTIST 1
That’s about it, Lieutenant. I’ve uploaded a new objective to your PDA and a waypoint should be flashing on your radar as well. That will take you to Major Barnes. Have fun with it!

On screen text: “Press ‘P’ to open your PDA.”

The player makes his way to the training grounds.

    [...]

    JESTER (enthusiastically)
    Hey Nomad!

    PSYCHO
    Mornin’, Nomad. Nice threads.

    PROPHET
You’re ready. Great. We need to get you up to speed.

    JESTER
We got our suits upgraded yesterday, so we got a jump on you. I’m heading over to the obstacle course, if you need to see what it can do.

    PSYCHO
Seriously mate, it’s bitchin’. Gives you killer accuracy too. I’m going down the shooting range to have fun with bullets. If you want me to show you the ropes, just give us a shout.

    [...]

The player arrives at the Skylord. He sees his squad run over the tarmac to meet with Aztec. They wait for the player at the Skylord’s door.

PROPHET (shouting over the noise of the engines)
Alright! Are you all fired up and ready to rumble?

    PSYCHO
    Let’s do this!

    JESTER
    Yeah!

    MARINE 1
    She’s ready to go, sir.

    PROPHET
    OK, let’s move!

The player and his squad enter the Skylord. The hatch closes.

    PROPHET
Strap in guys, you’ll get your briefing in the air.
Und so beginnt Crysis 1 Vielleicht hilft euch das ein wenig
