A component responsible for the shortage

Sources have confirmed that Nvidia let everyone make their own cards and that the Flextronics cards are slowly kicking in, and the market is beginning to recover from a huge retail / e-tail product shortage.

It is hard to believe that Nvidia has a lot of G92 chips to fill the shortages, but Nvidia is out of power components that are needed in order to make G92 / D8P based card.

Nvidia qualified only one component from a single vendor and these boys and girls cannot make enough of them. We heard that it is one of the power components on the card.

This is partially responsible for the shortage, and when you combine this with a huge demand you get the current market situation.

BTW
Nvidia won’t launch Geforce 8800 GTS 512 cards based on G92 on the 3rd or 4th of December as many implied. The new date is the middle of the month, between the 12th and 14th.
