Mercedes-Pilot Michael Schumacher lässt seine Zukunft in der Königsklasse nach der Saison 2012 weiter offen. Eine Verlängerung seines Vertrags über die kommende Formel-1-Saison hinaus steht genauso zur Debatte wie der endgültige Rücktritt nach Erfüllung der drei Vertragsjahre. "Ich bin sicherlich nächstes Jahr noch dabei, das ist definitiv", so Schumacher im Rahmen der "Stuttgarter Sternstunden" seines Arbeitgebers Mercedes.
"Dann müssen wir schauen, wie sich die Dinge entwickeln und wie viel Energie und Spaß noch dabei ist", setzt der 42-Jährige fort. Titelchancen rechnet sich der Rekordweltmeister für die kommende Saison jedenfalls keine aus. "Es wäre vermessen, wenn man im nächsten Jahr schon von uns erwarten würde, dass wir um die Meisterschaft mitfahren können, dafür sind wir im Moment zu weit weg."
Bis dato wartet Schumacher nach wie vor auf den ersten Podestplatz seiner zweiten Karriere. Dies sei für die Saison 2012 nach Meinung des Kerpeners allerdings ein realistisches Ziel. Dem stimmt auch Mercedes-Entwicklungschef Thomas Weber zu: "Wir brauchen etwas länger, um an die Spitze zu kommen, aber die Zeit ist notwendig."
"Wir vom Vorstand geben die Zeit", stellt Weber klar und weist sämtliche Gerüchte über eine Infragestellung des Formel-1-Engagements vor dem Hintergrund der Umweltbelastung zurück: "Faszination und Verantwortung schließen sich nicht aus. Der Motorsport unterstützt den Weg in Richtung grüner Mobilität."

Morgen beim Qualifying könnts auch stark regnen. Bin gespannt.
Und der Regen beim Training eben zieht jetzt zu uns rüber, hier gießt es jetzt in Strömen. Sollte nächstes Jahr nochmal nach Spa fahren, kann mich glücklich schätzen so 2 traditionelle Rennstrecken wie Spa und den Nürburing innerhalb von nur ca 1 Stunde erreichen zu können.
Schumi im Q1 nach 1 Minute schon raus... :( Rechtes Hinterrad fliegen gegangen und dann ab in die Mauer...son Dreck! Beim Jubiläum

Unfassbar was der hier veranstaltet! In der Outlap von Q2 verlangsamt er weil Maldonado ihn vorher bisschen blockiert hatte und fährt ihm ins Auto!
Also langsam muss der doch mal gesperrt werden, wieviel ******* der schon veranstaltet hat!
Sowas gehört sich einfach nicht!

Es interessiert nicht was Rosberg zusammenfährt, der kann im Vergleich sowieso nichts.. im 1v1 in diversen Rennen (sage ja nur Shanghai 2011) NICHTS!
und DAS MAN EINEN "F1-Gott" wie SCHUMI S!O! bloßstellen muss, DASS IST UNERHÖRT!
Das ist genauso ******* wie bei der MotoGP mit Valentino Rossi.. 9x Weltmeister... wie ein Schumi auf 2rädern und bekommt von Ducati eine Maschine, die dem Mercedes von Schumi gleicht. Unerhört! :mad: :twisted:
Viel Spaß morgen bei schauen.. hoffentlich regnet es und es kegeln mal wieder so richtig viele von der Strecke und Schumi kann profitieren und es gibt dann vllt. Duelle mit Vettel oder so.. naja, werd mir die Berichterstattung hinterher ansehen/ durchlesen.
