Welcome to today's news update and another showcase of the work in progress tactical shooter entitled,
CryRecon. This weeks news revolves mostly around the creation of three new sniper rifles for the mod, which include the
Barrett M98B,
CheyTac M200 and the classic
M40A3. We have additionally been hard at work creating more support options for the player and we are excited to be able to also feature the Foster-Miller

Barrett M98B
First up in today's news feature is the M98B bolt action sniper rifle, manufactured by the Barrett Firearms Company. The weapon fires the powerful .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge and is capable of a shot-grouping of 103mm at 730 meters. This asset, created by CryRecon modelling lead
Mong0ose will make up one of the available selection of precision rifles in the CryRecon arsenal.
CheyTac M200 Intervention
Next in the list is the infamous CheyTac M200 Intervention rifle. Manufactured in America by CheyTac LLC the weapon has an effective operational range of 2000+ meters. Currently stated as the most accurate sniper rifle available on the market, with the current world record of a 3 shot grouping of 42.2cm at a distance of 2122 meters, this will be the weapon of choice for the discerning CryRecon sniper. M40A3 Sniper
Finally in today's sniper selection list is the tried and tested stalwart of the US military, the M40A3. After its release in 2001, this rifle has become standard sniper rifle of choice for all American military units. With a 10x zoom scope, good precision and an effective range of 1000 meters this rifle makes up the backbone of the mods collection. This model is created by team member

SWORDS-TALON
Finally for today's news update we are very excited to present to you the latest in the CryRecon player support options, the Foster-Miller "Swords-Talon". The talon unit itself has been in deployment in many warzones, including Bosnia, where it was utilized in its other capacity as bomb disposal and mine clearance. However its big-brother, the "Swords" variant, is at its heart a remote control weapons platform. The system is capable of mounting any of the following:.M16, M249, M240 MG, M82 Barrett, a 6x40mm grenade launcher or quad 66 mm M202A1 FLASH incendiary launcher. This weapon will be available for the player to utilize and allow him to clear and secure areas from the comfort of good cover. This model was created by myself,
