Bild No. 2 war mit dem P40+. D.h. das hat die gleiche Auflösung wie «mein» Leaf Aptus-II 8; die gezeigten Crops sind aber vom P65+.

The Phase One P65+, Hasselblad H3DII-50, and Leaf Aptus-II 10 are the highest resolution backs currently shipping from their respective manufacturers. We recently had all three in our studio (along with a P40+) so we took the opportunity to shoot a comparison. These images were captured on a heavy tripod with mirror up and self-timer within a few minutes of each other. Each was opened in the current (as of the day of the comparison) version of it’s native software (Leaf Capture 11.2.8, Capture One 4.8.3, and Phocus 1.2.1) and processed with default settings.

Capture Integration strives to provide fair and balanced testing. However, controlling every variable is simply not possible. In this test the lighting changes were a natural consequence of changing cloud cover. We made a strong effort to use the same focus point for all four systems. In each case the focus was manually thrown off and then single-point AF was used with the camera on a tripod to focus on the beige apartment buildings directly to the right of the red-roofed guard-house on the middle bridge (the Venetian Causeway). The camera was then placed in manual focus and the scene recomposed to the framing seen. Also, we are a major dealer and have a variety of gear on hand at any given moment. However, much of our equipment is on rental, or being used for demos in our studio or on location; therefore we can’t always do tests with the exact same body and lenses. In this case we had the ability to match focal lengths (150mm) by using the P65 and P40 on a Phase One body with a 150mm D lens and the Aptus-II 10 and H3D on H bodies with their HC150mm lens.
