GC 2008 Round-up!

Introduction
Hi everyone! We've all made it back safely to the office once again, after a very long and busy week at GC. But i think we can speak for everyone when we say that we had a fantastic time, and got some really valued feedback from those people that were able to join us in playing both Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars. So thanks once again to all those of you that managed to make an appearance throughout the week!

GC Round up
The entire GC went really well not only for us, but everyone there seemed to have a lot of fun, and the event went without any major hitches. Having the VGL there was obviously really special for us, as not only was this their first trip to Germany, but they also decided to honour us by playing some of the Original Soundtrack from Crysis, accompanied by a fantastic video. Our Crytek party was a fantastic success as all those community members who were able to attend will be able to tell you, although the camera work of some several people seemed to get increasingly shaky as the night progressed.

Community
We were joined by several members of the community over the course of the week. People from Crymod.com, Crysis-HQ.com and Incrysis.com and many others showed up and were able to play both of the titles we had on offer. They were able to do a few short Q&As with us, from all of the question they had gathered up from their own respective communities. We decided to all get together for a big group photo graph and you can see us all just outside of the Crysis Wars booth below.

All the guys had some really positive feedback to give, and obviously as veterans with the Crysis series they all knew exactly what was going on. So once again we want to thank you guys for showing your continued support and for making a personal appearance at the Crysis Wars booth at the GC2008!

Where does the Crysis franchise go from here?

Well as you know, we announced that the game would be a trilogy some time ago. So of course, we have been thinking about the sequel since before Crysis itself was finished. We hope and expect Warhead will be successful enough that we can justify the time and effort it will take to release such a full scale sequel, but that step is still far in the future. It takes a long time to make AAA titles of this quality, even starting with the team, assets, technology and tools we already have in place.

Autopatcher bei Crysis: Wars!!!!

Unsere Kollegen www.Crysis-Warhead.de haben ein Interview mit Alexander Marschal gefürht!
Dabei kam eine Sache raus die noch keiner wusste und keiner gedacht hatte!

Crysis-Warhead.de: Unsere letzte Frage...Wie wird das mit der Patchverteilung bei Crysis Wars laufen?
Alex: Wir haben nun ein Autopatching eingebaut, das war uns sehr wichtig. Dieser Installer ist von Beginn an mit dabei und checkt beim starten des Games die Server nach neuen Patches.

Finde ich persönlich echt hammer!
Mapdownloader, Autopatcher und TDM.
Denke dann wird der SUpport zu Wars lange anhalten!
