    Today we have a release news for the community in regards to a Crysis Wars modification including new weapons, game modes, and loads of balancing. As well as the media featured here, other information can be found by being sure to visit the original release post that includes tons of media and information so you can better understand what the modification is about.     How the Project Began
    We have a quote from the project lead, Aegis on how this ambitious project came to fruition.

    quote:I was going through the Crymod forums, and I found someone complaining about the weapon balancing in Wars. Cry-Eddy, I think, responded with something like "We've given you the SDK, now fix it!" So I thought to myself, what if the community tells me what they want in weapon balancing, and I do it. Later, I release the "patch" to the community in the form of a mod, and they can test it out in the SDK or mod their own server. They send in feedback, and the balancing is tweaked. Then maybe, just maybe, it will be accepted so well that Crytek will put it into a patch, perhaps with a few tweaks.

    • AAA can lock on to targets
    • Helicopter can lock on to targets

    New Gamemodes
    The following two gamemodes are currently being worked on and perfected and will be released in the final verison of the modification.

    • Capture the Flag
      quote:Good news everyone! thmage will include his (unannounced) Capture The Flag mod with the community patch! From what I've been told the "flag" will be a MOAR, so it fits in with Crysis. It is not yet complete, but he says that he will just need to finish one more thing to perfect it. There will be a comprehensive description of it once thmage announces his mod, and I get the codes. Flamers is also working on a CTF map and it should be up now! Enjoy!
    • Convoy
      quote:Will release in final version
      One team (US) starts with a RESPAWNING convoy of trucks, APCs, helicopters, jeeps, and a TAC tank. There will also be some weapon spawning points, but you can also buy other weapons from buy-points.
      The other team (NK) will start in its own base, complete with a prototype factory, several energy sites, a war factory and maybe some other stuff. Uncapturable NK spawn points will be spread across the map.
      The US will need to drive their TAC tank to a location where it can fire at the NK base. There are 3 key locations, but this is Crysis and there will inevitably be more. During this time NK will be gaining alien energy and they will eventually have enough to buy a TAC tank. The path NK takes to the US base will be unreachable by US land and sea vehicles. I'm basing this map off Mesa, with several modifications.

    Download and Hotfix #1
    Aegis has released the first verison of the modification as well as a hotfix to fix some of the intial bugs in the original release. Both of these downloads we have listed below for you. The first download you will need to install is the intial release verison which can be downloaded from Link to CPlite Verison of Modification. After you have installed the CPlite verison of the modification please be sure to download and install the first hotfix to fix some issues you may have by Downloading the Hotfix.

    hmm mal gucken...
    Aber der neue GameMod (Convoy) hört sich irgendwie nicht so toll an... Vielleicht blick ich da gerade nicht wirklich durch aber kann mir nicht vorstellen das dies viel Spielfreude bereitet

    Achja ich geh pennen... Was mach ich überhaupt noch so spät

    Diese ganzen neuen Waffen (die meisten) sind alles irgendwelche Raketenwerfer, die übermächtig viele Geschosse abfeuern, gegen die man keine Chance hat...

    Und der Convoy Modus ist auch sinnlos, ich fände es viel cooler, wenn die NK gewinnen würden, wenn sie den einen TAC Panzer des US Teams zerstören.

    So ist das ja momentan nur ein PS Abklatsch....

    naja, irgendwie ist es kein CP oder eher FP(FunPatch). EX-Mod ist besser und wird ehh nach 1.01 neue Inhalte bekommen.

    Welcome to today's Crymod news update featuring the latest weaponry from the ever expanding arsenal of the Crysis Wars Community Patch modification. The mod, currently in development by forum member Aegis, is designed to collect feedback from server owners to expand and balance the content in Crysis Wars. This latest update brings plenty of new weapons to the table, including several plasma based weapons in addition to existing modern weaponry.

    New Weapons
    Four new SMGs and four new rifles have been added in this update, in addition to two plasma weapons and a new tank, the MTBLS, which features a main cannon with a range of approximately one kilometre. A video has also been recorded demonstrating the plasma weaponry and the newly created tank.

    Plasma Accumulation Sidearm:
    Primary Fire - 110rpm. Slightly stronger than the Deagle.
    Secondary Fire - A nice, big charge up BetaPAX shot. Coloured red! Weaker, though. Don't fire both guns at the same time! The projectiles collide

    Plasma Accumulation Rifle:
    Primary Fire - After a brief charge-up animation you'll rapid-fire the beams fired from the PAS. Each shot is far weaker, though.
    Secondary Fire - After charging up you fire an awesome LAZARGH beam.

    MTBLS Tank:
    Main Gun - Like the PAR's LAZARGH beam but longer lasting, stronger and faster-charging. Very longed ranged! About 1km.
    Secondary Gun - Fires the Autoturret's machinegun! Complete with the distinguishable lock-on and sound and the shut-down sound! Almost perfectly accurate!
    Gunner Seat - A mounted Gauss Rifle
