Da aber das Respawn Studio die Rechte an seinen Titeln behält und diese nicht wie bei C&C bei EA liegen, können die Entwickler die Richtung ihrer Titel selber bestimmen, siehe z.B Bad Company 2
So hat EA kein direkten Einfluss auf die Qualität der Spiele, wenn es ihnen natürlich gar nicht zusagt können sie immer noch den Geldhahn zudrehen, da aber die beiden Chefs für ihre guten Spiele (Umsatzmäßig) bekannt sind wird EA dies sicherlich nicht tun...

Das Ausbluten bei Infinity Ward hat begonnen und zwei weitere langjährige Mitarbeiter haben das Studio verlassen – möglicherweise Richtung Respawn Entertainment.

Die Schlagzeilen rund um Infinity Ward nehmen kein Ende. Nachdem das von Activison entlassene Führungsduo Jason West und Vince Zampella das neue Gamingstudio Respawn Entertainment gegründet haben, verlassen nun weitere langjährige Mitarbeiter das Team von Infinity Ward.

Wie VG247 erfahren haben will, soll es sich dabei um den Programmierer Jon Shiring und den Designer Mackey McCandlish handeln, die seit sechs, beziehungsweise acht Jahren für West und Zampella bei Infinity Ward gearbeitet hatten.


Zuvor hatten bereits Todd Alderman, zuletzt für den Multiplayerpart der Call-of-Duty-Reihe zuständig und Francesco Gigliotti, Software Engineer des Entwicklerstudios der Call-of-Duty-Reihe verlassen.

Das Infinity-Ward-Team war einst aus dem Kernteam von 2015 Inc. entstanden, das ebenfalls von West und Zampella geführt wurde. Ein Schelm wer bei den neuerlichen Kündigungen an Wests und Zampellas neues Studio denkt.

Infinity Ward insider says the studio is “dead”

A source close to Infinity Ward has told Kotaku that the developer as we know it is “dead” and “will continue to crumble”.

Speaking with the site anonymously, the source claims that the resent wave of walkouts along with the formation of Respawn studios by Jason West and Frank Zampella is scaring the shit out of Activision.
“They’re scared shitless,” revealed the source. “They never saw this coming. They can’t believe what’s going on. At first they gave us some bullshit about moving up payments of all the money they owe us to sooner increments.
“That was when [designer] Todd [Alderman] and [engineer] Frank [Gigliotti] left. But with the announcement of Respawn and all the people leaving, they just got there heads in their hands.”
“They fired the two most amazing leaders we’ve ever seen, and then shafted us all out of a lot of money that was promised to us…there is nothing they can do to gain our trust or respect. And I’m pretty sure they know it now.
A dozen IW employees have already left Activison, and the source says that numbers at the under-100-person operation could drop more.
To counter this, Activision has pulled folks from other studios to fill the vacant positions in hopes to start moving on Modern Warfare 3.
That won’t cut the mustard, according to the source.
“IW as you know it is dead…and it will continue to crumble,” it was suggested. “There are a lot more veterans who are definitely going to leave.”
