Hi everybody, ok well here is the deal. A long time ago I made a new pair of arms to replace the nano-arms just simply to test how simple/difficult it would be to replace them. These are the same arms that I keep getting asked about and featured in the Javelin video and some other CryRecon related media. These will not be appearing in the release of CryRecon so I have now decided that they should be made available for the community.
Ok now for some basics, these are NOT perfect, the skinning on these arms is pretty 2nd rate to say the least and therefore on occasion, holding certain weapons (most especially the hurricane) they won't deform properly. This is simply because I wanted a quick test to get in-game to see if it would work. HOWEVER, I have included the max file (Max

in the PAK file so anybody with a spare hour or two to spare and a bit of knowledge of skinning could improve them quite easily. ALSO the material is only setup to work with non nano-suit related mods, therefore in the basic armour mode the material is correct. If your project is using the nanosuit modes you will need to duplicate and edit the other material types so they all use the same material (so you don't get the nanosuit effects on your arms). Either that or simply disable the nanosuit altogether, which would make more sense if you have a pair of cammo US arms like these.
Anyway as you may have gathered, I will not be supporting these arms, they are simply provided "As-Is", so instead of just having them sitting on my PC you too can have a copy. For the most part they look acceptable with most weapons, although due to the animations for the Vanilla weapons being setup for thick nano-suit gloves some of the finger spacing looks a bit weird.
This is more of a learning resource and although your more than welcome to play the game with them or use them in your mods/levels I suggest you open up the max file and start using the setup as a knolwedge base to create your own custom arms.
