also wenn das jetzt heißt dass ich meine bfbc2-dvd in die tonne treten kann und mir das game neu über steam kaufen muss (was ja nur mit einer kreditkarte, die ich nicht habe, geht [denke ich mal] ) nur um das addon spielen zu können DANN KANN SICH EA DAS ADDON IN DEN ALLERWERTESTEN SCHIEBEN, EGAL WIE GUT ES IST!!!

Öhmm doch. Seit dem ersten Tag, seit Steam das AddOn führt. Ich wollts mir an diesem Tag holen, doch die Meldung hielt MICH davon ab.

Same here, pre-ordered the game before any warning was put up. Payment went through and all, just recently saw the message on the Store Page.
Contacted EA support and guy on helpdesk said it shouldn't be a problem as you would have been given a key to enter in the full game.
Received no key, raised a (more then one by now) ticket to Steam Support..... still no reply after 9+- hours.
Bought game of EA Store and must say Vietnam is really good. But no thanks to you Steam!! First and last time you got my money.
From now on I'll just go ahead and buy all my games in a Retail Stores.

Edit; Once they added the message they already knew they were going to have a problem with users that already pre-ordered so they should have been able to fix the issue in advance before the game got out! But what did they do? Nothing!

All this purchase really was was just a code and the fact that the code works on all versions of BC2 but is only viewable through Steams BC2 console is a total scam. Really even if there was only a week or so window where the mention of needing a STEAM version of BC2 was not posted it still seems illegal to go back at a later date and impose such a pointless requirement. All this is a dirty marketing scheme to make people buy another $20 product they already own just so they can view a code and some people have bought into it. Ive seen multiple posts were people bought BC2 on steam today just so they could view the BC2 Vietnam key so that they could input it into their retail copies. Really this setup doesn't exactly feel legal. All steam needed to do was attach the cd key to the preorder copy of Vietnam that showed up in everyones library but instead they assimilated the BC2V icon into BC2 making it impossible to view unless you have bought BC2 from steam or are willing to shell out $20 on a game you already own. The fact that BC2V was given a stand alone icon and sold to individuals without the base game without warning either at purchase(for those who bought in the window of time at which the notice on the store page was not posted) or release feels like entrapment.

Soweit ich weiß bekommt man nen Key mit dem man übern Download Manager das Spiel downloaden kann.

Grad getan - Key wird gesendet - Update runterladen - im Spiel unter dem Menü Punkt "Vietnam blablabla" den Code eingeben - Spielen.
