NFS Shift: Demo ungewiss

In the last few weeks we've received a lot of messages and forum posts about a demo so we're currently looking into the feasibility of releasing a demo for SHIFT. We are committed to releasing the best Need for Speed game so we kept the entire team working on the game to make sure we release a really great experience.

We're really proud of what the guys at SMS and Black Box have created and we can't wait to get the game in your hands.

Dachte BlackBox sei dieses mal gar nicht involviert... Oh NOES !! I see failure in near future
In Shift werden doch auch Drift-Challenges vertreten sein, oder ? Möchte wetten der Mist geht auf BlackBox' Konto...
Forza und GT5 kommen auch gut ohne aus, wieso muss bei Shift jetzt unbedingt noch eine Drift-Komponente ins Spiel ?
Hoffentlich tut das dem Spielspass keinen Abbruch... Naja, schon bald wissen wir mehr...

Und genau der Drift-Kram soll bei Shift total schlecht sein, obwohl das Game sonst ziemlich gut ist.
Scheint als durfte Blackbox einen kleinen Teil im Game entwickeln, den sie natürlich verbockt habem

Need for Speed : Shift war eigentlich als NFS Pro Street 2 geplant!

"Yeah. It (Shift) actually started out as ProStreet 2.

You'll see the obvious references, like we've got the Tokyo track in there, albeit a bit more mature; there's no balloons or anything like that. The thing with ProStreet was that they couldn't go straight from street racing to a track racer - that would have annoyed a few people. So it was really the first stage of the transition, mixing courses with the street stuff, and this is where they (EA) always wanted it to go.

We've had a few battles, you know, 'put cops in, put nitrous on everything', but we just said 'come on, let's do this properly, shall we?' And we did. Shift is the game we always wanted to make, just under a different name to how it started."

Need for Speed : Shift war eigentlich als NFS Pro Street 2 geplant!

Würde mich wundern, da die SlightlyMad Studios ja eigentlich alles Ex-SimBim Mitarbeiter sind und bereits über ein halbes Jahr daran gearbeitet haben, bevor EA aufgrund des Misserfolges von Undercover an die herangetreten ist und sich als Publisher angeboten hat. Aus Sicht eines EA-Mitarbeiters macht's aber Sinn: Es war von Anfang an geplant ein anderes Studio zu beauftragen und deren Produkt einfach in ProStreet2 umzubenennen. Lead Designer bei SMS ist übrigens Stephen Viljoen (zugleich Producer) und nicht wie auf NFS-Planet steht Andy Tutor, zumindest wenn man der SMS-Homepage noch Glauben schenken kann (muss ja nicht unbedingt noch aktuell sein was da steht, vllt. gibt's die ja schon gar nicht mehr...)

Hat von euch jemand eigendlich ein Lenkrad fürn PC, wenn ja welches..
überleg mir auch schon die ganze Zeit eins zu kaufen aber das Logitch G 25 ist mir zu teuer... =(

Also mit 150 € sollte man mindestens rechnen wenn man was halbwegs Vernünftiges haben will, sonst wird man glaub ich nicht wirklich damit glücklich.
Das G27 soll noch diesen Monat erscheinen. Vielleicht fällt ja dann der Preis für's G25 ein bisschen.

Edit: Hab grad gesehn die UVP des G27 für den deutschen Markt liegt bei 349,99 Euro, also mach dir keine Hoffnungen dass das G25 so schnell billiger wird...

Logitech G27


Fanatec produziert auch sehr hochwertige PC- und Konsolen-Lenkräder, aber wem das G25 schon zu teuer ist, der braucht dort erst gar nicht vorbeischauen.
