The enemy characters use "smarter tactics," he says. "In Far Cry, they only knew certain things -- where the terrain is, where you are. But in Crysis they understand where the fences are, where the trees, rocks, enemies and vehicles are. This understanding, which sounds trivial, is really expensive" in terms of processing power, he says.
