Nachdem es ja nun offiziell im Crysis Monthly Update #1 bestätigt wurde, das es von Crytek keinen Patch mehr geben wird, war und ist die Empörung groß, wie man in diversen Foren und Kommentaren sehen kann. Aber nun den Kopf in den Sand stecken? Nein, nicht wenn es nach einer kleinen Gruppe von Moddern geht, die sich zusammengefunden hat. Diese wollen nach eigenen Angaben einen Community Patch 1.3 erstellen und somit die angesprochenen Missstände in Crysis aus der Welt schaffen.



Die Gruppe, bestehend aus drei Moddern, haben sich ein ehrgeiziges Projekt vorgenommen, indem man bestehende Bugs und Wünsche der Community vereinen möchte. Ein Featureliste, welche aus 69 Punkten besteht, für den Community Patch 1.3 wurde ebenfalls schon veröffentlicht und beinhaltet folgende Punkte:

  • Sound bug... [Detect looping sound and auto disable/enable?]
  • Join team menu displaying when already on a team
  • Cursor displaying while in gameplay
  • Crosshair disappearing after leaving scope

  • Less-limited claymores/mines? CVAR for claymore/mine/C4 limit, don't remove on death?
  • Make C4 destroyable by grenades
  • Make AA vehicle spawnable from HQ
  • Increase AA cost to 250 or 300pp
