    ---------------------------------------
    Giga Reporter: Felix Rick
    Crytek CEO: Cevat Yerli
Crysis Senior Game Designer: Bernd Diemer

    ---------------------------------------
    Part 1:
    ---------------------------------------

Cevat: "We'll see two main features of Crysis.

The Nano Muscle Suit... You can change your tactic with a button at any time during the game, by changing your speed, amor or strength. From the beginning you have only two abilities and as you proceed in the game you get more and more abilities until the suit reaches it's full potential.

The weapons have a modular rail structure which allows you to change all the gadgets like a flashlight, a silencer, a laserpointer, a sniper-scope or a granadelauncher in real time. Most of these modifications can be done to every "human" weapon you can find. The alien weapons although are not modular."

Felix: "How much Alien weapons can you find in this game?"

Cevat: "There are two alien weapons
    - 1. The "MOAR" (Molecular Arrester), which takes the water molecules from the air ,change them into ice and shoots a hail of little ice particles.

    - 2. The "MOAC" (Molecular Accelerator), which can freeze things, that you can destroy afterwards by shooting at them.

Felix: "How much scenarios are in this game?"
Cevat:"There are four different scenarios in this game:
    - 1. The jungle, with a complete interactive environment, which has a huge impact on gameplay. The A.I. for example, can see the leaves bending if you walk through them, so they know where you are. The graphics are, what we call, photorealistic
    - 2. The aircraft carrier, which is a very important part of this game,
    - 3. The frozen paradise, a big fridge with a fantastic view,
    - 4. The alien ship itself - At the end of the game you can enter the alien spaceship and you can experience a new gameplay in zero gravity.

I won't tell you the reason why the aliens try to take over the earth - you should play the game to find it out"

Felix: "Bernd has a lot of fun with destroying buildings - tell us some about the physics"

Cevat: "The physics-engine is developed by us and not from other companies like Havok or someone else. The complete software is developed by us and is based on our initiative - The only things we've got made from our partners are the user interface and the soundengine.

Felix: "I have read at heise-online that this product can't be produced for NextGen Consoles (360/PS3)"

Cevat: "This has the following reasons:
    1. Crysis is PC only! This is a very important message!
    2. Technically some features could be realized on consoles, but not everything. For this huge environment with so many objects, consoles simply don't have enough memory.

    ---------------------------------------
    Part 2:
    ---------------------------------------

Felix: "Now we want to see and talk about the details and graphics of this game."

Bernd: "We will run through the jungle and see a preview of the frozen part of it."

Felix: "Cevat, tell us more about what we're about to see?"

Cevat: "Well, this is a DX9/DX10-Engine. Every polygon has it's own light, shadow, all in real time. There is also transparency back light on plants (subsurface scattering). An inside joke at Crytek says that there's more technology in a face or a plant than in the whole Farcry game! What we see right now is DirectX9, DirectX10 will look even better. This frozen part of Crysis is darker as other frozen parts - There are sunny places too but they are still frozen."

Question from the Audience: "Will the Game support physic cards?"

Cevat: "Crysis doesn't support physic cards and it doesn't need to, because the software engine is powerful enough to handle all the physics it needs.

Felix: "What do you think about physic cards, is it a good gimmick or is it a flop?"

Bernd: "Hardware-accelerated physics by itself is a good idea, but it's hardcore. People already can't keep up buying always the newest graphic cards and now they should buy a expensive physics card, too?"

Cevat: "But we will use the graphic cards to accelerate the physics-engine in Crysis."

Bernd: "Now we are on the aircraft carrier - The homebase of the player."

Felix: "How many levels will be included in Crysis?"

Cevat: "There will be between 12 and 18 Levels in Crysis - This has something to do with the memory, we don't really know it at the moment."

Felix: "I heard the faces doesn't look like "plastic" in Crysis - Is this correct?"

Cevat: "Yes, we use the same technology, which movies like Final Fantasy or the Matrix Movies have used to display faces."

Felix: "Is the alien, we see on the aircraft carrier right now an end boss?"

Cevat: "No, its not a boss, it's a simple A.I."

Cevat: "Crysis is not linear in all of it's features: The A.I. for example, learns from your actions and react appropriately, so that your tactics, which you used for the first few times, won't work anymore the next time. Another non-lineary part of the game is, if you are fighting with other soldiers against aliens, and they (soldiers) die, the future in the game will be changed completly"

Here is the First part of the third movie:
    ---------------------------------------
    Part 3:
    ---------------------------------------

Felix: "What? We're on Vox? I'm still sitting with Cevat & Bernd and talk about Crysis. All the Movies we have seen are on DirectX9 - right?"

Bernd: "Yes, thats right - Hello Hello Hello - All what we have seen is on DirectX9 and runs on High- End-Computers. We are still on development and optimizing the DirectX9 features. We have an parallel development on DirectX10 and I have an Movie to demonstrate the different between DX9 and DX10 and we can simulate the Detailgrad of DX10."

    (movie is playing)

Cevat: "Better light and shadows. Partikel, Atmosphere are more closely, we see the Hunter, when it's crying, the air and smoke is moving. On the Jungle Part are more volumetric Lights, more shadows, explosions are greater. This is only a movie. They have not allowed us to take DirectX10 Hardware with us to this Convention."

Felix: "... how you see the Future with Microsoft Windows Vista?"

Cevat: "Were are proundly to Microsoft. They have plugged in Vista an "Game explorer" and "Rating Systems" and the "Hardware Check Module" can see if i can play the Game with your installed Hardware. Crysis will work and run on DirectX9 on Vista better than on Windows XP, because the driversmodels are better on Vista than on Windows XP"

Felix: "What's up with the MOD Community?"

Bernd: "We love our Mod Community - the Guys are great! We work since Far Cry with them together and have some Guys in our Team. They give us feedback and we hear to them."

Cevat: "The MOD SDK will released with the Crysis retail Version"

Felix: "Tell us more about the Editor"

    Cevat: "Yeah, a sneek peek"

    (Bernd shows the Editor)

Felix: "Now we're talking about the soldiers, about the A.I. Since FarCry the expectations to Crysis are set very high."

Cevat: "We know that the expectations and requirements are set very high since Far Cry and we have set the quadruple capacity of workers in our team and workgroups. We invested a lot of money to the A. I. - it's not be automatical better because we have spend more money for it - but in our Example it's the result that we have given the Aliens, the A.I. , an Understanding, they can see and hear - it change the hole game dynamic. The Aliens can learn, the Alien will/can change his tactical at ervy time. We have build in for the human characters an "Biometric System" the A.I. is movin realistic, they make stunts, they make realistic jumps, the Group tactical and strategy is globally better. These elements will give the Player a new Game expirience."

Felix: "Everybody can play the Multiplayer Part of Crysis on the GC, tell us more about it, make a short roundup please"

Felix: "Cevat, tell us more about this what we now see"

    und sollte eigentlich so lauten
Felix: "Cevat, tell us more about what we see right now"

Außerdem würde ich es in die Zukunft setzen, da es vor der Präsentation gefragt wurde. Also:
Felix: "Cevat, tell us more about what we'll see now"
