The Problem

Now that Patch 1.3 has been release for Crysis Wars there have been reports that several people have encountered the old problem related to PunkBuster, this would lead them to being kicked from a game or simply not being able to connect at all. The reason for that is the update of the PunkBuster binaries with the release of Patch 1.3.

The Solution

To fix this problem simply follow the steps below and it should resolve all issues that you have with PunkBuster and the current version of the game. If this does not help, please post in this thread so that we can investigate further.

Delete the files inside your "PB" folder in your game installation and all PB folders inside the MyGames folder: "PB"; "Punkbuster/PB".

Download the PBSETUP.exe from the Evenbalance homepage and copy it at some point.

Add a new game and make sure you choose the PB folder inside your game installation as path for the game. Then update your PB files.

Check one last time that your PB folder inside the Game installation contains several .dlls and folders and there is no PB folder inside your MyGames folder.

Start your game and join a server. You should not encounter any problems anymore.

2. Ladet euch die PBSETUP.exe von der Evenbalance Homepage herunter und kopiert diese.
3. Fügt ein neues Spiel hinzu und stellt sicher, dass ihr den PB Ordner in der Spielinstallation als Pfad ausgewählt habt. Updatet nun Punkbuster.
4. Überprüft nun ein letztes Mal, dass der PB Ordner einige .dlls enthält und dass kein PB Ordner innerhalb des Spieleordners existiert.
5. Startet das Spiel und joint auf einen Server. Meldet euch im Forum, falls es Probleme geben sollte.
