Genau...erstmal abwarten!
Ist doch klar, dass Crytek nicht gleich die ganze Grafik umbaut. Wenn sie das tun würden, wäre es unmöglich eine ähnliche Performance beizubehalten...also werden sie nur Teile erneuern, wie eben das Lightning, o.Ä. !!
Ich bin gespannt was sie aus dem Spiel machen. Toll wären ebenfalls neue Tools für die Waffen. :twisted:

Ich finde die Grafik können die so lassen^^....vielleicht Grafikfehler ausbauen..da hab ich viele gesehen....z.b an einer stelle keine texturen mehr^^....Sie verbessern die Grafik wahrscheinlich...damit wir uns neue Hardware holen sollen....Ich wäre sowieso dafür das die einfach die Very hgih geschichte lassen und ihre "verbesserte" grafik in Ultra high einbauen...also very high ist die Grafik vom normalen Crysis und Ultra high halt die verbesserte Grafik

Ne jetzt mal ehrlich so toll ist es jetzt auch wieder nicht ich mein man kann ja wohl verlangen das nen paar neue Gegenstände dazukommen. Ich würde "mindestens" 50 neue Objekte erwarten.

Och so viel muss da gar net an Waffen und Fahrzeugen dazukommen wie ich finde, dass ist schon ganz gut ausgeglichen, man hat ja eigentlich alles, was fehlt noch?^^ Nur verschiedene Models (besonders für MP) wären cool aber ansonsten...
Find ich okay, die Engine wird etwas aufgebohrt, neuer MP, (hoffentlich viele) neue Objekte, das find ich schon okay für ein standalone Addon, wenn man das hauptspiel schon hat, solange sich der Preis bei etwa 30€ bewegt, fänd ich das gut und werds mir auch sicher zulegen. Bei ~50€ müsste ich echt überlegen und testberichte lesen etc.
Naja einfach abwarten und ich freu mich schon darauf, wieder die ganzen Bilder, Videos etc zu analysieren.
PS: Nen Kampf gegen das neue Fahrzeug ohen Raketenwerfer wird bestimmt cool ^^

Einen Flammenwerfer würde das Spiel ziemlich in richtung Indizierung schupsen wenn ich mir vorstelle was für verkohlte Koreaner man mit der Cry Engine 2 machen könnte!:shock:

oder auch dickerer bäume und nicht nur diese palmen zerstörbar machen wäre auch cool!
Das Feuer sieht sehr interessant aus, vielleicht gibt es nun ein dynamisches feuer, das bäume und häuser abbrennen kann. Wäre sehr cool.

Die Patikel Effekte wollten sie meins Wissens nach auch noch verbessern, was man auf den Screens von pumax ja ganz gut sehen kann, Feuer/Explosionen sehen noch ein stückchen besser aus, klasse :D
Dazu noch höher aufgelöste Texturen... Man das wird echt cool :)

Die explosionen wurden deutlich verbessert! Mann sieht das geil aus!
Scheint als ob im Ferienparadies (Liegestühle, bestimmt ein Cafe im Hintergrund) die Hölle ausbricht.

Aber hoffentlich machen die mal mehr als 2 Sturmgewehre 1 SMG 1 MG und n paar Explosionssachen
Das ist doch echt langweillig wenn man immer nur n paar Waffen zur verfügung hat. Dann hat man irgentwann keine Lust mehr. Bei COD4 hat immer jeder seine Liebligswaffe und alle sind mehr oder weniger anders

naja aber in einer zeit von cod is das einfach ne zumutung. Ich mein selbst GTA hatte
damals schon... 13 waffen? Wir haben in Crysis momentan ... ca 6, oder?
Sounds ? das ist ja wohl nicht soo schwer ne ?
Aber z.b auf http://www.fpsbanana.com/ gibt es hunderte von Waffen, wenn Crytek einen Contest machen würde für Waffen, das wär geil !!!
Dann würden bestimmt sehr viele gute sachen dabei rauskommen.
dann noch n paar animationen und texturen......ferchtich !
Die besten 20 oder 30 kommen dann in Warhät und die Erschaffer werden in den credits genannt und bekommen n Keks und n TeeSchört :D
ich weiß dass Warhead ein Standalone Spiel wird. Aber weiß jemand ob Warhead merkt, ob Crysis installiert ist, dass man es über Crysis spielen kann, wie in CoH ?
Zum Beispiel so:
Man startet Crysis, klickt auf Einzelspieler, kann dann zwischen Nomad und Psycho wählen und danach den Schwierigkeitsgrad bestimmen. Und wenn dann noch Prophet dazukommt...
Wär aufjeden Fall genial.
Man klickt auf dem Desktop auf "CrysisWorld" es läd.......dann wählt man zwischen Nomad und Psycho dann geht man auf Einzelspieler, dann kann man wählen zwischen Kampagne; Extra Maps; Custom Maps; MPmaps;
Extra maps werden übrigens von cryteck per Patch gemacht:)

Und noch zu den Waffen, wenn es viele waffen mit unterschiedlichen stärken gibt, bekommt der Spieler ein Gefühl der Interaktivität, er kann selbst bestimmen welche Waffe er jetz nimmt, man kann die Waffen Testen wie gut sie sind usw......
Geil wäre auch noch wenn man sich vor jeder Mision, oder an bestimmten stellen eine neue Ausrüstung zusammenstellen kann
Und wenn Crytech wieder nur die unten angesprochenen Waffen machen könnte man ja auch sachen machen wie :

Anti Rückstoss Aufsatz
Gas Rückstossverminderungssystem
Schalldämpfer klein/laut
Schalldämpfer Mittel/geht so

Ich denke das eine Bild ist ein Fake, weil man Psycho auf dem screen sieht und es sieht auch stark nach einem ingame screen aus! Die Frage ist dann nur, warum man Psycho sieht, wenn man den doch eigl spielt, oder?:D Man hat das Gefühl, als wär der Spieler ein anderer...

Ich denke das eine Bild ist ein Fake, weil man Psycho auf dem screen sieht und es sieht auch stark nach einem ingame screen aus! Die Frage ist dann nur, warum man Psycho sieht, wenn man den doch eigl spielt, oder?:D Man hat das Gefühl, als wär der Spieler ein anderer...

das siehst du falsch, denn man sieht dort keine waffe von daher könnte crytek einfach mit dem editor den screen gemacht haben oder so...
außerdem kann man im editor auch 2 mal psycho machen:)
So gerade nachhause gekommen.
Habe mir das video mal angeguckt. habe es gerade gerippt von der DVD und werde es jetzt nochmal kleiner Konvertiren weil es 1,77GB groß ist.
Ob wir es zum DL stellen dürfen weiß ich noch nicht.
Die einzelnen screens werde ich euch aber nicht vorbehalten kommen dann gleich! ;)

Ich denk mal du darfst sie erst zum DL anbieten , wenn ne neue PCA raus ist.
Weil viele hier würden sich wahrscheinlich die Zeitung kaufen um dad Video zu sehen.
Wenn man es hier allerdings laden kann, dann braucht man sich dafür ja nicht die Zeitung zukaufen, zumindest nicht wenn man nur das Video sehen will.
Die Zeitschrift zu kaufen damit man das ''Interview'' (wenn man das überhaupt so nennen darf )
sehen kann lohnt sich nicht.
Ich hatte sie mir aus einem anderen Grund geholt, aber mir natürlich auch das Video
angesehen.
Es fängt schon damit an, dass Spielszenen aus Crysis gezeigt werden, danach kommen
alle Bilder die man sich hier auf der Seite angucken kann und dann noch zwei, drei Fragen an Cevat Yerli über Hühner usw.
Ich finde das eigentlich schon richtig frech aufs Titelbild zu schreiben: Hier gibts erste Infos-

Bei Gamestar haben die auch so ein 400€ PC zusammengestellt, der hatte ne 9600GT. Ich habe diese auch und sie macht bei mir 34FPS average im Crysis GPU-Benchmark auf High 1280x1024. Ich weiss jetzt zwar nicht auf von welcher auflösung die reden, aber jedenfalls war das eigentlich schon bei Crysis möglich.

Even a year later, nothing comes visually close to Crysis. Nothing, that is, except Crysis Warhead, a spin-off follow-up that actually enhances the look that Crysis achieved. Now, instead of very high, high, medium, and low, there are options for the type of gamer that you are. Most gamers will probably select the gamer option, but those with high-end systems can test them by choosing the enthusiast setting that cranks the visuals up. Even at the gamer setting, Warhead looks better than almost any game, but at enthusiast it looks downright incredible.

Crytek fans at ComicCon 2008 got a chance to see Crysis: Warhead in action. For those who weren't there, a 3 minute video has been posted on GameVideos.com.
Video Description
The video contains real-time footage from one of the levels. Watch as Psycho runs through an industrial zone leveling everything in sight. The nanosuit effects for cloak mode have been improved, as has the enemy AI, and some of the weapons have been updated with new textures as well. You can watch the video below.

[Article] TVG.com Interviews EA on Warhead
Totalvideogames.com (http://totalvideogames.com/) has recently done an interview with EA's Associate Producer Ben O'Donnell concerning Crysis Warhead and some of it's features. There is a plethora of different information contained in this interview, including some new information, such as the introduction of automated ammo pickups.
Gameplay Tweaks
One of the topics discussed was some of the gameplay tweaks that would be new to Warhead.
quote:So there are things like the automatic ammo pick-ups; we've actually got it defaulted so that when you get into a vehicle it's automatically a third person view. We're just trying to make it as accessible to every kind of player as possible, but obviously you can still go into first-person mode and if you play the game in Delta you have to pick-up ammo. It's another little difference in difficulty levels.
Gameplay Variety
Even though players may look at the demo videos and see tons of explosions, Ben explains how there are many ways the player can go about acheiving their goals.
quote:We don't want people to think that they can't play the game in stealth. If someone has a certain play style, that's great, and the game's been balanced so that you can play any way you want. The fact is that there are a lot of events happening around you like the air support, or the bombing runs and things like that.
So there's a lot more eye candy for players, but they can play the game however they want really. But with the main character being this much more high impact guy, they've given you the tools that you need if you want to play like some kind of nutter and play the hell out of everything.
Psycho's Storyline
They even explain how this storyline will come into play and relate to the original Crysis storyline.
quote:It happens in exactly the same timeframe as Crysis and from the moment he leaves you in Harbour - which you never really know why; it's never really explained in the story - then he turns up on the ship at the end with this [really] big alien, and this tells the story of that. It's hinted at towards the end, in the final cut-scene, about what he's been up to and what's happened, but it's never explained, so we thought that would be a nice way of expanding the story.
As a character he's a lot more vocal and a lot more high impact in the way that he goes about things, so we've tried to bring that across in the gameplay and how the levels are designed as well.

Crysis Wars features three multiplayer modes, including TeamInstantAction, a new match type that mixes fast-paced action in a team-based environment, in addition to the insanely frenetic gameplay style of InstantAction and the hardcore team-based PowerStruggle, both of which return from Crysis. The game will include 21 maps, six new maps for TeamInstantAction and InstantAction, and one for PowerStruggle and Crytek will also have a support team dedicated to meeting the needs of the Crysis Wars community.

• Viele der neuen Maps wurden eigens für ein "vertikales Gameplay" entworfen, damit man jede der Kräfte seines Nanosuits bestens einsetzen kann

Punkt 1 ist korrekt!
Punkt 2 teils: Zu 100% sicher ist es nicht mit dem Linux server. Es kommt keiner ab Realese, aber laus Alex, gibt sich Crytek mühe einen nach zu geben.

Crysis Warhead
As you all know by now GC2008 has been the first time that you, the public, have been able to play the demo level of Crysis Warhead as shown in the press since its original demonstration at E3 earlier this year.
We showed you a few pictures of the booth in our first GC blog entry, which gave you an idea of what the setup looked like. Today we want to share with you guys that kind of enthusiasm that has been shown towards the new package. As you can see from these pictures below the Warhead s tand has been packed at all hours of the day since the begining of GC.

Crysis Wars - ESports Exclusive
Today we were lucky enough to have the national teams of both France and the Czech Republic for Counter Strike: Source right here in the Crysis Wars booth. Both teams were invited to try out the brand new multiplayer experience thats coming to you in the Crysis Warhead package.
The guys had a short warmup to get used to get set up and make sure they were prepared. Once the game started there were plenty of impressive moves using the entire range of suit functions.
After a close battle France took the first game, and after another tight match they managed to beat the Czech team 2-0. This obviously gave great delight to our French Multiplayer Producer Eric Lagel. :)

After the game we got some feedback and found that the guys were very impressed by the world reknowned Nanosuit functionalities. They said that once you got used to the suit then it added a real flair to the style of combat and infact gameplay as a whole.
We´d like to thank them for coming along and having a match on Crysis Wars and we hope to see many more professional teams become a big part of Crysis Wars E-Sport.
Crytek Party
Last night Crytek held a party in Leipzig and most of the crew came along to join in the festivities. The night was fantastic and a special thanks must go out to our Event Manager for organising such a brilliant party.
There was plenty of dancing and drinking and lots of amusing photographs. We will publish some of those when we return to Frankfurt, but for now they probably need to go through some kind of censorship :)

Hi everyone! We've all made it back safely to the office once again, after a very long and busy week at GC. But i think we can speak for everyone when we say that we had a fantastic time, and got some really valued feedback from those people that were able to join us in playing both Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars. So thanks once again to all those of you that managed to make an appearance throughout the week!
GC Round up
The entire GC went really well not only for us, but everyone there seemed to have a lot of fun, and the event went without any major hitches. Having the VGL there was obviously really special for us, as not only was this their first trip to Germany, but they also decided to honour us by playing some of the Original Soundtrack from Crysis, accompanied by a fantastic video. Our Crytek party was a fantastic success as all those community members who were able to attend will be able to tell you, although the camera work of some several people seemed to get increasingly shaky as the night progressed. http://crymod.com/img_crysiscrystal/smilies/smile.gif
Community
We were joined by several members of the community over the course of the week. People from Crymod.com, Crysis-HQ.com and Incrysis.com and many others showed up and were able to play both of the titles we had on offer. They were able to do a few short Q&As with us, from all of the question they had gathered up from their own respective communities. We decided to all get together for a big group photo graph and you can see us all just outside of the Crysis Wars booth below.

Where does the Crysis franchise go from here?
Well as you know, we announced that the game would be a trilogy some time ago. So of course, we have been thinking about the sequel since before Crysis itself was finished. We hope and expect Warhead will be successful enough that we can justify the time and effort it will take to release such a full scale sequel, but that step is still far in the future. It takes a long time to make AAA titles of this quality, even starting with the team, assets, technology and tools we already have in place.

Crysis Wars
We've set up a big section for Crysis Wars which allows players to try out the new game mode TeamInstantAction. We're running the maps Coast and Graveyard, both of which are great at showing that the suit functionalities coupled with our unique brand of vertical gameplay are a winning combination. The feedback has been good, and those people who have not played Crysis before were even more impressed when they discovered the Nanosuit abilities, saying that "It really adds something to gameplay."
The Tournament
As many of you have heard by now there was a Crysis Wars tournament at nVision, just yesterday. 8 teams signed up for the 6v6 contest, to take each other on for the top prize which was 3 brand new computers After some very spectacular rounds, some of which were incredibly close, the winning team of 6 had to split in 2 for a 3v3. The final match had plenty of funny moments with lots of "Maximum Strength" punches and the runners up ended up taking away 3 brand new nVidia graphics cards.

Warhead Presentation
Yesterday there was a presentation from Eric Lagel (Wars Producer, Frankfurt) and Oren Douek (QA Manager, Budapest) took to the stage together to provide a large audience with a showcase all about Crysis Warhead. The people in the audience seemed amazed by the graphics, and the noticeable optimization made to the engine and the fact that the title will be launched so soon and the price will be only $29.99 has got people eagerly awaiting the launch of Warhead on September 18th.
Graveyard
The graveyard map is filed with some great open ground with lots of scattered tomb stones and walls that offer you some nice cover. The alien crash site has destroyed the surround part of the graveyard and formed a small crater. Here is where you'll find some destructive alien technology, but beware, you will be out in the open whilst trying to retrieve it.

I was at PAX and asked the guy demoing it the specs of the machine:
Core 2 Duo
8800GT
2GB ram
It was running at 1280x1024 resolution, surprisingly set to *MAX* settings. Formerly "Very High", now renamed "Enthusiast". High is now known as "Gamer".
Anyway, on that machine, at that resolution, I pulled up r_displayinfo and saw that:
High - game was easily running 35-40FPS
Very High - game was running about 20-25FPS
The important thing, however, is that that's faster than the first game, and it was fully playable even at that 20-25FPS. This was also on an ice-covered level, the type of level that killed performance in the first game.

Aufgrund es Umfrage-Ergebnisses (http://crysis.4thdimension.info/forum/showthread.php?t=8626) werden wir den Contest (Abagbetermin) bis einschliesslich 11.09.2008 (also ein Tag vor dem Crysis-Warhead Release) verlängern. Das sollte für die Feinheiten reichen und evtl. den einen oder anderen doch noch zum mitmachen ermutigen.

Für Internet Game braucht man einen Key sollte klar sein.
Um Wars im LAN zu spielen braucht man keinen Key man kann es im LAN ohne Key zocken! ;)

The latest issue of PC Zone arrived today and I'm very pleased to report that they have a review of Crysis Warhead - 92%. The general consensus seems to be that it's pretty freakin' awesome. They reckon it's taken all the good bits of Crysis and multiplied them - improved in so many ways... So I'm even more excited for this game now.... Can't wait for the hovercraft chase across a frozen sea!!! Frozen waves n'all....!!
On side note - Spore got 95%...
