Dantes Inferno - Demo im Dezember

Mit “Dantes Inferno” setzt Electronic Arts auf ein Hack n Slay Adventure, auf das spätestens seit “God of War” Millionen Fans schwören. Doch wie gut kommt ein Spiel bei den Fans an, das im Fall von “Dantes Inferno” nicht nur im gleichen Genre spielt sondern auch ein ähnliches Setting bietet?
Reicht es aus den Göttervater Zeus gegen einen Teufel auszutauschen, statt im Himmel nun durch die Hölle zu wandeln? Davon könnt ihr euch bereits im Dezember selber überzeugen.
Wie Electronic Arts bestätigt hat, wird es schon dann eine Demo zu “Dantes Inferno” geben. Hier hat am die Möglichkeit im Eröffnungslevel “Gates of Hell” schon einmal Höllenluft zu schnuppern. Zudem wird die Demo durch 2 Cutscenes begleitet.

EA hat heute offiziell bekannt gegeben, dass die Dante’s Inferno am 10.Dezember 2009 im PSN Store erscheinen wird.

(NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced that the playable demo for Dante's Inferno(TM) will be available as a free download on PlayStation Network on December 10 and on Xbox Live on December 24. Dante's Inferno takes gamers on a quest through hell, in an action-packed adaptation of part one of Dante Alighieri's epic poem, The Divine Comedy. The 'Gates of Hell' demo includes the entire opening level and gives gamers a taste of the terrifying odyssey to come in the Nine Circles of Hell as depicted in the full game.

In the demo of Dante's Inferno, players are introduced to Dante Alighieri's re-imagined past as a crusader who returns home to Florence to discover his true love, Beatrice, murdered. As her soul escapes her body, she is kidnapped by the dark shadow form of Lucifer. Sworn to her rescue, Dante must journey to the Gates of Hell and beyond to battle undead monstrosities, unholy boss demons, and Death himself. Offering a glimpse into the vast world of Dante's Inferno, the demo serves as a prelude to the player's perilous journey to the inner bowels of hell.

Developed by Visceral Games(TM), the award-winning developers behind the critically-acclaimed Dead Space(TM) franchise, Dante's Inferno is an epic descent through Dante Alighieri's nine circles of hell - limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. At a blazing-fast 60 frames per second, each circle features unique environments, all new creatures, terrifying demons, story elements and are scored distinctly to set a tone that fits each circle of sinners.

Gamers will get to go to hell in North America beginning February 9, 2010 and in Europe on February 12, 2010 for PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system as well as the PlayStation(R) Portable (PSP(R)). The Gates of Hell demo will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

Dante's Inferno is rated M for Mature by the ESRB and is currently awaiting PEGI classification. Dante's Inferno - Special Edition exclusiv für PS3

Visceral Games und Electronic Arts haben veröffentlicht, dass es exklusiv für PS3 eine Special-Edition geben wird, die den Namen "Divine-Edition" trägt.
Leider ist noch nicht bekannt, ob es dies Edition auch außerhalb der USA geben wird. In Amerika beträgt der Preis dafür 59.99 USD.
