Die UE ist super von der Beleuchtung her und um Anorganisches darzustellen.
Was Organisches angeht, hat die CE immer noch die Nase vorn.
Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, dann ist das Rainforest Video auch durch einen User entstanden und kein offizielles UE-Präsentationsvideo. Dafür ist es nicht schlecht.
das video ist doch niemals ue4, das sieht aus wie farcry 1! verstehe nie warum die wald/dschungel settings so starke schatten haben, geh mal in den wald da siehst du keinen pixel (quadratcentimeter :ugly:) schwarz. die paar sekunden, in denen alles indirekt beleuchtet ist, da siehts direkt 100x realistischer aus.
und indoor ist davon mal abgesehen auch wesentlich einfacher abzubilden/beleuchten als outdoor.

der schatten ist so stark weil er bestimmt kein skylight verwendet hat.

By popular demand, we're now making the entire Infiltrator project available for free to download and free to use in UE4-based projects.
Infiltrator is a high-end demonstration of Unreal Engine 4’s rendering and cinematic capabilities. Originally shown at GDC 2013, it’s still highly representative of the capabilities of high-end PC GPUs.
Check out the Infiltrator cinematic above, and head to the Epic Games launcher to access the project in the Learn tab.
Please note that UE4’s approach to physically-based rendering has evolved since it originally debuted in Infiltrator, so these assets will require tweaking when they’re used in a new project with reference lighting. For more information, see our physically-based materials documentation.

Das Video mit dem Schnee finde ich ziemlich beeindruckend. Die anderen Videos sind gut, jedoch habe ich diese bereits so auch mit anderen Engines gesehen.
UE4 Indie Game das von nur 1 Person entwickelt wird. Das Ganze grenzt schon an Hexerei wenn ihr mich fragt. Wie ist das möglich ?

Respekt! Es ist schon erstaunlich was eine Person alles erreichen kann. Ich bin echt gespannt, was daraus wird. :)
