The second week of May turned out to be even more busy and active than the previous one. We are making major progress finding and eliminating a numer of minor and major bugs, that kept appearing for a while - in no small part due to the outstanding work of our resident code guru Toth. However, the heavy focus on bug fixing and polishing limits the range of things that can be shown in this weekly update. Nevertheless, we believe you'll like today's update. We're presenting to you the four variants of Catapult and Cougar each and also three panorama shots of the Solaris Arena version of the popular ClearCut map. At the end of this update, as usual, you'll find a collection of screenshots from our weekly playtest.
Inner Sphere Catapult and Clan Cougar
The MWLL team would like to present to you an Inner Sphere heavy and a Clan light Mech. Find below the four variants of the Inner Sphere's fire support Mech Catapult and one of the Clan's most powerful lightweights, the Cougar.

Converted Map: ToA_ClearCut Becomes SA_ClearCut
The map has been around for quite a while and is widely considered to be one of if not the most beautiful among MWLL's multiplayer battlefields: Clear Cut, originally designed by Korjax. With the Solaris Arena game mode turning out to be the more popular mode in our weekly playtests, bringing together the two was a logical step. The Solaris Arena version will feature a smaller area of action and slightly different base locations. Find three panorama impressions of the map below.

Playtest Impressions
Again, here are a few pictures from another weeks playtest of the current build, showing off some more action from the mod.

Welcome to the seventh overall and third weekly update in May, presented by the team of the Crysis total conversion modification Mechwarrior: Living Legends. It's been turbulent times and the team would like to apologize for the delay of this update. As for the past weeks, we'd like to start this update by saying that big things are already casting big shadows and we're just as impatiently awaiting their announcement as you guys hopefully are. For this week's update, we've got four variants of the Atlas and a status update on the Solaris Arena map Sandblasted. Once more, however, we'd like to draw your attention to the playtest impressions. The vigilant observer should notice at least two unfamiliar things in these. We're really looking forward to see how many of you actually discover them.
Four Variants: Inner Sphere Atlas
Probably one of the most iconic Mechs in the battletech universe and certain to cause fear on the battlefield in those who oppose him, the team of MechWarrior: Living Legends presents to you the four variants of the Inner Sphere's Assault Mech Atlas. This monster, weighing no less than 100 tons, will be playable in the first MWLL release in the four versions shown on the screenshot below.
Progress: SA_Sandblasted
A status update on this desert/egyptian-themed map that, judging by overall reactions to earlier screenshots, seems to be quite popular: SA_Sandblasted has seen various improvements in the past few weeks. The three panorama shots below document what the very same location looks like in various stages of the established cycle of day and night. The two additional screenshots show one of the new assets that can be found on this map, huge pillars, strong and big enough to allow battlearmor to take cover behind them.

Again, here are a few pictures from this week's playtest, showing off some of the more spectacular confrontations from our testing.

After last week's fairly huge update, this one is going to be a bit shorter. This time, we've got the textured Atlas, a short video demonstrating the time-of-day-settings on SA_Extremity and a new set of playtest impressions. Enjoy!
Textured Mech: Inner Sphere Atlas
It's only been a week since we presented to you the four variants of the Inner Sphere's iconic flagship, the Atlas assault Mech. Our artists turned out to be more productive than expected and finished the textures for the Atlas, which is why we're promoting this monster made of 100t of steel again this week. The following screenshot shows the Atlas' new clothes at different times during the day on SA_Clearcut.
Progress Report: SA_Extremity
One of the most unique maps in MWLL's set of confirmed beta release maps, SA_Extremity is making excellent progress in the past days and weeks. While we expected it not to support the impressive "Time of Day"-features that Crysis offers, our level designers still managed to come up with a pretty impressive solution. Check out the short video clip below to see how the skybox changes during the day. The screenshot is a still impression of some of the new assets and terrain that Inner Sphere and Clans will be fighting on. The music for this video has yet again been created for MWLL by Mike Jennings from Sunpost Music.
