Warner Bros. kündigt neues Mortal Kombat an





Warner Bros. Interactive gab heute die Entwicklung eines neuen Mortal Kombat Spiels bekannt. Dieses entsteht unter der Leitung von Mortal Kombat-Erfinder Ed Boon bei den NetherRealm Studios für PS3 und Xbox 360.

Neben einer brandneuen Grafik-Engine soll vor allem die 2D-basierte Gameplay-Mechanik überarbeitet werden. Auch neue Modi finden den Weg ins Spiel. So können erstmals bis zu vier Spieler im Tag-Team Modus gegeneinander antreten. Einen Co-op Arcade Modus für zwei Spieler wird es ebenfalls geben.

Erscheinen soll das Spiel 2011.

In addition, Mortal Kombat introduces a number of new game-play features including tag team and the deepest story mode of any fighting game. Players can choose from an extensive lineup of the game’s iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes.

Hui hört sich gut an, werde ich mir mal ansehen wenns rauskommt. Hab aufm Amiga 500 das letzte mal Mortal Kombat gezockt, und da hat es Spaß gemacht ^^

Also, ich hege ja bis heute die Hoffnung dass es mal wieder einen guten MK-Teil gibt. ^^ Nach Teil 2 (ja, is verdammt lange her...) ging es eigentlich kontinuierlich bergab mit der Franchise, ein Teil schlechter als der andere, und gemessen an der Konkurrenz (Soul Calibur/ Street Fighter/ Virtua Fighter/ Tekken/ Guilty Gear/ und nicht zuletzt BlazBlue) war es auch nie wirklich eine Option für mich. Das Gezeigte im neuen Trailer sieht soweit aber schon mal recht 'vielversprechend' aus... :twisted:
Denke ich werd's mir auf jeden Fall mal anschauen wenn's da is. Hab da nen Kumpel mit nem MK-Faible, der hat bisher fast alle Teile gezockt und wird es sich daher eh holen... :lol:
