Ni no Kuni - The Another World ist eine Gemeinschaftsproduktion der Softwareschmiede Level 5 (Dragon Quest) und den Trickfilmstudios Studio Ghibli (Prinzessin Mononoke/ Chihiro's Reise ins Zauberland). Ni no Kuni wird ein JRPG und voraussichtlich als PS3-Exclusive erscheinen.

Details zur Story von The Another World:

In Ninokuni, the player assumes the role of a 13 year-old boy named Oliver, a resident of Hotroit city whose mother Arie dies suddenly. A doll previously given to Oliver by his mother reveals itself to be a male fairy named Shizuku, who gives Oliver a magic book that allows him to go to the world of "Ninokuni," a reality parallel to his own, where the fairy states the boy may be able to revive his mother. There he encounters alternate versions of people he knows.

Man sieht das geil aus. Wird wohl ein richtig gutes (J)RPG.
Jetzt noch Daumen drücken dass es Ni no Kuni auch bis zu uns schafft.

Die Landschaft und die Wolken (bzw. der Schattenwurf der Wolhen) sehen echt toll aus.
Finde das Game erinnert optisch stark an Tales of Vesperia.

Anlässlich der Bekanntgabe des Release-Termins in Japan (17. November) und dass Ni No Kuni auch als DS-Fassung und als PS3-Bundle erscheinen wird...

Wann und ob The Another World überhaupt jenseits von Nippon erscheinen wird ist nach wie vor ungewiss.

Today is the day that a lot of JRPG fans have been waiting for; Level 5 has confirmed that their gorgeous PS3-exclusive, Ni No Kuni, will release in the US in early 2012, Gamespot reports. Team boss Akihiro Hino confirmed during the Sony Computer Entertainment Asia press conference. This PS3 version of the DS original covers most of the ground that the portable version does, but also continues on past the original ending. Post-release content is also planned.
Nothing in the way of a more specific date or a European release, unfortunately, but we’ve been drooling over this one for years. It’s great to finally get it in the west.

Wer über den kindlichen (nicht kindischen!) Anime-Stil, den Ghibli-Produktionen nun mal auszeichnen, hinweg sehen kann ebenfalls.

Das Buch ist mal echt geil aufgemacht, darf man gespannt sein ob's das für US/EU auch geben wird.
Ich tippe mal auf NEIN, was echt schade wäre.
