Eure Fragen für die GamesCom 2010

Here are some questions from inCrysis users that were not answered during the Richard Morgan Q&A:

- Is it true that you can upgrade your suit, or weapons, in the campaign of Crysis 2 - like how you upgrade your suit by nodes in Dead Space? If this is true... when you play multiplayer do you get a suit with all upgrades or no upgrades?

- If I have the PC version of Crysis 2 can I play against a person in multiplayer that owns the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3 version?

- Will there be dedicated servers?

- If I can run first Crysis with good fps, can I handle the same fps in Crysis 2?

- Does Crysis 2 have co-op or something like that?

- How fast does the energy drain when you have 3 modes running at a time, such as Stealth, Power and Tactical modes running all at the same time?

- Can you give us any examples of the "upgrading system" for the Nanosuit 2 Cevat Yerli has told us about?

- How much better are Crysis 2's final graphics from the "Crysis 2 - Achieved with CryENGINE 3" tech demo you showed us at GDC 2010?

- Will Crysis 2 have DirectX 11 support?

- In Crysis 2, while playing, will players be able to create an emotional bond/attachment to other characters in the game?

- Will Korean People's Army play a role in the new game? They have the nanotechnology (from the first game)!

- Many people want to have missions that show the past; how they escaped and what happened after that. Fully playable "Flashback" missions in other words. Are there going to be any? Or at least are there going to be moments that show that?

- Will Psycho appear in Crysis 2?

- Will there be a Sandbox editor in the console version of Crysis 2? So I can put the game in and enter a Sandbox editor and make my own maps, AI etc.?

- In the original Crysis, Nomad was about as close to a silent protagonist as he could get without being completely silent. Did you find this to be a good or a bad thing? Will this carry over to the sequel?

- I doubt the aliens could have launched a global attack with forces that could seemingly be contained to a single ship which one man could rampage through. Will their rise in power and numbers be explained?

Wird der MP dem derzeitigen Trend folgen, sprich ähnlich wie in Modern Warfare 2 ein Levelsystem und freischaltbare Waffen/Upgrades bieten ?

Wird es verschiedene Waffen einer "Art" geben mit unterschiedlichen Eigenschaften ?
(z.B. mehrere Sturmgewehre, Sniper, ....)

Wird der SP einen hohen Wiederspielwert haben, so wie die ersten Level von Crysis ? Wenn ja, wie wird dieser bei dem liniearen Leveldesign erreicht ?

Wird es Easter eggs oder etwas anderes geben, für das sich das sich das absuchen von Leveln lohnen könnte ?

Hey guys, glad to find this thread, sorry my german could be way better as well so let's not attempt that. :sad:
1. Crytek have ties yet with the force feedback pistol grip manufacturer Novint ? If not , can we expect full support later on? -They are working on a mouse emulation tool, just in case, so that later date might be a matter of days afaik. This would boost s3d immersion a great deal to me.

2. A question of big importance to me. Is the PC version of cryengine3 capable rendering flamethrower alike fluid based weapons , in detail like we never seen before? I consider this a serious flaw in todays MP games, won't provide any means to make scorched earth tactics viable.Hell, I can't even imagine how good this would look in s3d! Smokescreen would make a sniper's job hard, ~too.

3. Do we get ~edge detection AA, like that of Metro2033, Uncharted2 (MLAA) ? -Because once we have AAA , plain 720p would be just enough for a lot of us. I consider FullHD fatally overrated (on a 3d DLP projector, noAA is not even apparent! ), and such AA looks much better than MSAA to me, so this feature really sets a technically advanced game apart from the rest.

4. Once we have "free AA", and zero perfomance hit 3d , does that mean we can expect to play objective/team based multiplayer with vehicles , and all that jazz, with smooth 60fps , many players, even on relatively aged PC's ? That would be like a hyperspace jump compared to what we have now, clearly.

5. Can Crytek do something against the utter dominance of Valve software when it comes to multiplayer games? I understand we can't discuss the upcoming titles in development , but theres a serious market gap when it comes to team based sci-fi / jetpack shooters like Unreal XMP or Tribes. Several comitted modders would be enough to make this happen, and a lot of people consider those games the best form of online entertainment ever, myself included. XMP became one of the most underrated multiplayer games ever , but EPIC has its share in this, by abandoning PC platform entirely. That was XMP: http://files.aybab2u.com/u2xmp/videos/xmptv/
By the way, Legend entertainment has no rights anymore when it comes to XMP, so even an 1:1 remake should be possible without legal stuff. I can assure you, the fans are still out there ;). And we wont pick up those cliche valve games I think ;).

Can you name for us every single suit mode there is so far, and which modes can merge with each other? Which of these modes is a sub-mode of a primary one, and does each mode have a secondary layer to it? Could you please draw us a nice diagram of the suit's functions?

Wie viele Stunden Spielzeit wird man bei Crysis 2 haben?

Does the PC version of Crysis 2 come with a built-in benchmark mode?

1. Wird sich das Community Management in Zukunft wieder eher auf die Community anstatt aufs Marketing bewegen?

2. Wird der Patch support diesmal zureichender werden als bei Crysis und Crysis Wars (4 und 8 Monate)?

Ist ein Co-Op Modus vorgesehn ?

ist das ne ernste frage? :D ist so als würdest du nen spiele hersteller fragen "wird man cheaten können?". normaler weise sind easter eggs nicht gewollt vom "hersteller", sondern meistens ein "scherz" oder eine signatur der mitarbeiter.

weil ich glaub kaum dass cevat morgens mitm kaffee in der hand da steht, sein käsebrötchen schmatzt und sagt "soa... hier, dingens. knall mal in jedes level nen frosch und wenn man alle stalket machste am ende einfach son riesen frosch dahin."
